Do 500 Men Love Their Wives One of my recent email.

Be warned, this is not my normal email and only a handful of you will read this email entirely, but I have a fantastic tip to share with you.  Please read on.

I want to inspire you to strive for a great 2011.  For the minority of you who do read this email, I think you have a great chance for 2011 to be one of your best years yet.

I do truly hope this will be the best year ever for you in spite of the recession.  Some people thrive during down turns in the economy but, unfortunately, the majority suffer greatly and struggle to keep their sales up.

I’m writing you to share a few tips that may be helpful this year.   You don’t always have to have the greatest product or prices.  In fact, you may notice people whom have less talent and drive, get more sales but you may not quite understand why.  This is a fact, and is at the very least, seemingly, unfair.

I’ve seen so many talented people give up too soon.  So, today, I am going to share a little bit of knowledge that I hope you will apply.  Usually, I give away graphics or some fantastic share, but today, I am going to my marketing roots to help YOU.   So, on to my point and the meat of my message.

Did you know that words can run circles around a picture in terms of sales?  Now, I am not saying don’t use pictures, they are very relevant and necessary, but do not underestimate the power of words.

Let me share a story with you.

In 1934 a florist (B. Altman) ran an advertisement that went like this:

“We believe there are 500 men in New York who love
their wives… and want to give them flowers for
Easter

So… we’ve provided 500 old-fashioned bouquets…
ready now and packed in beautiful boxes. They’re
just inside the Fifth Avenue entrance… all at one
price and that one price very easily to afford”
($2.50)

Simple?

Yes.

Successful?

500 bouquets sold in 3 hours = 170 PER HOUR!

So, yes.

The reason why this is mentioned here?

Could YOU not find a way to make this work?

You are appealing to an upcoming holiday – one typically not thought of by men that often as a reason to give flowers.
[hint: Valentine's Day coming up - a GOOD reason to have a promotion]

You are appealing to the simple nature of men… make is EASY to buy (packaging done – right inside the door – one price – not expensive… all of these make it EASY to buy).

I share ideas and tips about marketing all the time so that you may be one of the success stories.  I try not to hold anything back.

If you read all of this email, let me know ryan@wrapcandy.com.  I love to share tips, but if there is no feedback from members, then I may just stop and continue with my normal promotions.
